Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation website at jjhf.org ("Site") and any related services. By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have parental consent) and agree to these Terms.

Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States, with operations in Nigeria and Malawi. Our mission is to restore dignity and empower lives through humanitarian service, education, health, and community development programs.

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Transmit unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its related systems
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Site
• Impersonate the Foundation, its staff, or any other person or entity
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Site without permission

All donations made through this Site are voluntary contributions to Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are generally non-refundable; however, refund requests submitted within 30 days of a donation may be honored at our discretion, provided funds have not yet been disbursed to programs.

We make every effort to use donations as designated by the donor. If a specific program is discontinued or fully funded, we reserve the right to redirect funds to our general operating programs with similar purposes.

Tax receipts are issued for all qualifying donations. The Foundation does not provide tax advice; please consult a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of your contribution.

Submission of a volunteer application does not guarantee placement. The Foundation reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion. Volunteers are not employees of the Foundation and are not entitled to compensation unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Volunteers are expected to uphold the Foundation's values of dignity, respect, and service. The Foundation may terminate a volunteer's engagement at any time for conduct inconsistent with these values.

All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, graphics, videos, and downloadable materials — is the property of Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Media kit materials and press assets are provided for editorial, journalistic, and partnership use only. Commercial use requires written permission from our Global Director of Communications. Please credit "Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation / jjhf.org" when using our materials.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

If you submit content to us (e.g., testimonials, stories, photos), you grant the Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our mission and communications. You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that your content does not violate any third-party rights.

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Foundation does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Impact statistics, program descriptions, and beneficiary stories are provided in good faith based on our field data and monitoring systems. We make every effort to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information is current or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or any content thereon, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joe & Jane Humanitarian Foundation, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Maryland.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
